My artwork celebrates the beauty of nature through vibrant color, whimsical collage, and imaginative storytelling. Inspired by childhood memories of my grandmother’s gardens, I create paintings that blend realistic elements of nature with unexpected details and hidden discoveries. A life shaped by seasons, gardens, and connection.
Sue Elkus is a New Hampshire native who loves the variety of the seasons, the mountains, and the beaches. Spending childhood summers at her family’s dairy farm, she learned to respect the animals and gardens that supported life. Working as a nurse for four decades taught her the power of joy, connection, and living in the moment.
